This Friday, July 31, join artist Judith Bernstein in conversation with painter EJ Hauser as part of the Brooklyn Rail's New Social Environment series. The discussion will take place at 1pm ET on Zoom and is accessible to all.
Since graduating from Yale in 1967, Judith Bernstein has developed a reputation as one of the most unwaveringly provocative artists of her generation. Steadfast in her cultural, political and social critique for over 50 years, Bernstein’s expressive practice embodies the psychological amalgamation of sex, violence and feminism, in varying orders and priorities.
