BOOTH G13

Kasmin is delighted to announce its participation in Design Miami/ between December 5-9 with a solo exhibition of new work by Mattia Bonetti. Featuring never-before-exhibited designs and conceived as a unified installation, the booth will conjure an otherworldly environment.

Born in Switzerland in 1952, Mattia Bonetti lives and works in Paris, where since the early 1970s he has been challenging the division between contemporary art and design. His process begins with the hand,  producing sketches that bring together materials such as bronze, gold-leaf, crystal, marble, and gemstones.

Bonetti is deeply engaged with the production of his works, overseeing each phase of their manufacture and contributing his expertise to craft every detail. Whilst his designs merge the more ornate aspects of 17th century European architecture and sculpture with the surrealist visions of early 20th century painting, they also employ cutting-edge methods of manufacture such as 3D printing and robotics.
