David Wiseman: Plants, Minerals, and Animals

Plants, Minerals, and Animals is Wiseman’s first solo presentation at the gallery and will be on view at 515 West 27th Street between March 14 - April 27, 2019. Bringing together designs conceived and forged in the artist’s Los Angeles studio over the course of the last fifteen years, the exhibition acts as a culmination of Wiseman’s career thus far. Brancusi & Duchamp: The Art of Dialogue

September 20 – December 22, 2018 515 West 27th Street, New York Brancusi & Duchamp: The Art of Dialogue, curated by art historian Paul B. Franklin, explores the aesthetic dialogue between Constantin Brancusi (1876–1957) and Marcel Duchamp (1887–1968), two of the most inimitable and innovative artists of the twentieth century. Bringing together over 90 sculptures, objects, photographs, films, and drawings from an international array of public and private collections, as well as a selection of rare archival documents, this exhibition is the first of its kind in any American museum or gallery. Barry Flanagan: The Hare is Metaphor

April 18 – June 9, 2018 515 West 27th Street, New York Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of sculpture by Barry Flanagan (1941 - 2009). The presentation, on view between April - June, 2018, brings together a selection of the artist’s iconic bronze hares from the 1980s - 1990s alongside his lesser-known works made with rope, sand, cloth, stone, ceramics and light as a sculptural component (largely from the 1960s - 1970s). A series of small paper collages, drawings, prints and film will also be included. View More

Robert Polidori: Ecophilia/Chronostasis

September 8 – October 15, 2016 515 West 27th Street, New York Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce its inaugural exhibition of acclaimed photographer Robert Polidori, on view from September 8 to October 15, 2016 at 515 W. 27th Street.

This exhibition will be the first U.S. show to feature Polidori’s “dendritic cities” images, a body of work begun in 2007. He appropriates the term “dendritic” from the branching extensions of a cell structure and uses it to describe the auto-constructed cities (as opposed to pre-planned urban developments) that have appeared as a result of industrialism in cities around the world, including Amman, Mumbai and Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition will feature three monumental photographs taken in India, including an expansive mural of a street in Mumbai known locally as “60 Feet Road.” View More

April 28 – June 25, 2016 515 West 27th Street, New York Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to present Bernar Venet's exhibition, Angles, on view from April 28 – June 18, 2016 at 515 W. 27th Street, New York.

The conceptual artist’s inaugural solo show at the gallery unveils a brand new series of large-scale Angles. The exhibition features four cor-ten steel sculptures, each an assemblage of acute angles of varying heights and differing angular degrees, some extending across the horizontal axis and others stretching vertically. Intended for indoor or outdoor installation, the sculptures work to define the spaces in which they are positioned. The scope of the new series is further articulated with the inclusion of smaller sculptural maquettes, offering the viewer insight into the artist’s thought process as he expands the vocabulary and points to new directions in this body of work.
